Overview

Alissa C. Donovan is an Associate in Stein Adler Dabah & Zelkowitz LLP’s Commercial Litigation and Employment groups. Alissa brings a unique blend of entrepreneurial experience and in-house legal insight. Having previously been both a business owner and an intern with corporate legal teams, she understands firsthand the challenges and intricacies that businesses navigate daily.

Prior to joining Stein Adler, Alissa worked in a variety of roles including as a legal intern for prominent organizations such as Rainbow Shops, Girl Scouts of the U.S.A., and H&M.

Alissa earned her J.D., cum laude, from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where she served as Associate Editor for the Cardozo Arts and Entertainment Law Journal and led as President of the Cardozo Fashion Law Society. She holds a B.S. with distinction in Fashion and Textile Design from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an Associate of Applied Science in Fashion Business Management from the Fashion Institute of Technology.

Stein Adler Secures Dismissal of All Federal Claims in Trade Dress and Trade Secret Dispute
Stein Adler secured dismissal of all the federal claims alleged against its client at the motion to dismiss stage in a commercial dispute involving alleged trade dress infringement and trade secret misappropriation filed in the Southern District of New York. Disposing of the case against our client in its entirety, the court found that our client’s packaging and brand design was fully protected under applicable law, and further dismissed a host of other claims alleging misappropriation of company information.
