Overview
Michael Dabah is a Co-Founding Partner of Stein Adler Dabah & Zelkowitz LLP and heads the firm’s Real Estate group.
Mike advises real estate developers, owners, financial institutions, family offices, investors and other clients in a variety of real estate matters, including financing, leasing, acquisitions and sales. Mike is an expert in negotiating long term ground leases and credit tenant lease financing. He also frequently advises clients on New York City development projects, often dealing with site acquisitions, assemblages, joint ventures, construction financing and access agreements.
Clients seek Mike’s counsel on all aspects of major real estate transactions in New York City and across the country. Mike also advises clients on retail, industrial and commercial leasing, including large office and co-working leases.
Mike earned his J.D., cum laude, from Brooklyn Law School and his B.A., magna cum laude, from New York University. Prior to founding the firm, Michael worked at Herrick, Feinstein LLP; Manatt, Phelps and Phillips LLP; and Simpson, Thacher & Bartlett LLP.

- Represented Box Equities in the $41.9 million acquisition of the Legrand North America distribution center in Vandalia, Ohio.
- Represented Box Equities in the $26.7 million acquisition and financing of a multi-state portfolio of industrial properties across Florida and Georgia leased to Iron Mountain.

Advised Box Equities in the formation of a joint venture with Artemis Real Estate Capital, and the venture’s acquisition of a 530,000 square-foot distribution center near Charlotte, North Carolina, anchored by HanesBrands.

Advised a real estate investment fund in the $415 million acquisition of the Leo Burnett building in Chicago; the $178 million acquisition of a Starwood office portfolio in Heathrow, Florida, and the $150 million acquisition of a Class A office tower in Los Angeles.

Advised a real estate investor in the $25 million acquisition of a Marriott hotel that was in receivership in Woodbridge, New Jersey; and the negotiation of a new hotel management and franchise agreement.
