Michal Chait is an Associate in Stein Adler Dabah & Zelkowitz LLP’s Real Estate group specializing in complex commercial real estate transactions from due diligence and drafting to closing and compliance. Michal also has a background in landlord-tenant law, which provides her with a nuanced understanding of multifamily real estate issues.

Michal has played a key role as a member of deal teams on a range of high-value commercial real estate transactions, representing developers and institutional clients in acquisitions and dispositions nationwide. Here experience includes working on the $50 million sale of a New York City development site on East 86th Street and the sale of a 10,000-square-foot commercial condominium in Manhattan’s Theater District. Michal has also represented clients in the acquisition of industrial warehouse facilities in Georgia and Virginia.

Michal earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from New York Law School where she was a member of the Law Review and was awarded the prestigious Daniel Finkelstein Writing Award in 2024 for her paper, “Rebalancing Property Rights: Reforming Squatter’s Law in New York City.” She holds a B.S. from the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and is fluent in Russian and conversational in Hebrew.

• Represented Extell Development in the $19 million acquisition of the former site of New York City’s historic Friars Club.
• Represented Box Equities in the $26.7 million acquisition and financing of a multi-state portfolio of industrial properties across Florida and Georgia leased to Iron Mountain.
