Monica Porco is an Associate in Stein Adler Dabah & Zelkowitz LLP’s Private Wealth, Trusts and Estates group, based in the firm’s Westchester office. She works with clients to develop personalized estate plans that protect their assets, provide for their families, and reflect their long-term goals. Monica’s practice includes drafting wills, trusts, and other estate planning documents, and she guides clients through the probate and estate administration process, helping families navigate the transfer of assets to the next generation.

Before joining Stein Adler, Monica practiced matrimonial and family law, representing clients in New York Supreme and Family Courts on divorce, custody, and post-judgment matters, and negotiating settlements on their behalf. She is also a certified Domestic Violence Counselor in Connecticut. Additionally, Monica has experience in housing and immigration law, having represented clients in landlord-tenant proceedings and immigration matters. Her unique and varied background has given Monica extensive experience guiding clients through emotionally difficult and personal decisions including custody arrangements, family separations, and housing insecurity – often during some of the most stressful periods of their lives. She brings that same sensitivity and steady, client-first approach to estate planning, where clients are frequently navigating unique family dynamics and important decisions about their future and their loved ones.

Monica received her J.D. from the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University, where she earned an Advanced Certificate in International Law, and her B.A. in International and Cultural Studies from the University of Tampa. She is admitted to practice in New York and is a Certified Mediator. Monica is a member of the Bronx Bar and New York State Bar Associations, and has intermediate proficiency in Italian and Spanish.
