Overview

Noam Besdin is an experienced litigator who has successfully litigated high-stakes cases in state and federal courts, both at the trial and appellate levels, and before arbitral tribunals, across the country. His practice emphasizes complex litigation and dispute resolution of commercial, real estate and employment issues, litigating claims for both plaintiffs and defendants concerning breach of contract, fiduciary duties, fraudulent transfers, trade secrets, licensing agreements, non-compete clauses, and professional malpractice, among others.

Noam is comfortable in and out of the courtroom, ready to litigate matters from complaint through trial, and also counseling clients on risk management, litigation avoidance, and business strategy. Noam’s expertise is cross-disciplinary, and his clients include a diverse range of individuals and corporations across multiple industry sectors, including investment firms, hedge funds, real estate entities, start-ups, small businesses, bankruptcy trustees, financial executives, energy companies, authors, art galleries and telecom providers.

Dedicated to giving back, Noam maintains an active pro bono practice, collaborating with the Safe Passage organization, aiding undocumented and unaccompanied minors in navigating the complexities of the United States immigration system.

Noam earned his J.D. from University of Pennsylvania Law School and received a B.A., magna cum laude, from New York University. During Law school, Noam served as intern for the Hon. Katharine S. Hayden, United States District Court, District of New Jersey, and at the Philadelphia Public Defenders Association. Prior to joining Stein Adler, Noam litigated at Amini LLC (formerly Storch Amini PC) and at Sidley Austin LLP, where he focused primarily on bankruptcy litigation.

Stein Adler Obtains Emergency Relief to Protect Developer’s $1.3 Million in Property Sale Proceeds

Stein Adler obtained emergency injunctive relief on behalf of a real estate developer seeking to protect its interest in the proceeds from the sale of a Brooklyn property after the client alleged that more than $10 million in sale proceeds had been distributed without any payment to the client despite its multimillion-dollar investment in the project. The team successfully secured a Temporary Restraining Order preserving the remaining $1.3 million in proceeds pending litigation and subsequently defeated an attempt by the property’s minority owner to vacate the TRO.

Stein Adler Secures Dismissal of All Federal Claims in Trade Dress and Trade Secret Dispute
Stein Adler secured dismissal of all the federal claims alleged against its client at the motion to dismiss stage in a commercial dispute involving alleged trade dress infringement and trade secret misappropriation filed in the Southern District of New York. Disposing of the case against our client in its entirety, the court found that our client’s packaging and brand design was fully protected under applicable law, and further dismissed a host of other claims alleging misappropriation of company information.

Stein Adler obtained emergency TRO against Royal Bank of Canada on behalf of a family-run investment fund in a multi-million dollar dispute over pledged securities. Prevented the bank from seizing $2 million in assets, preserving client funds pending further court proceedings.

Stein Adler secured nearly $1 million in arbitration for a senior executive wrongfully terminated “for cause” by a global gaming company, including full back pay, health benefits, and attorneys’ fees. Defeated aggressive employer claims in a high-stakes trial before a federal judge.
